Reliable, informative imaging requires
intensive quality control and advanced
methods throughout all stages of data
collection, processing, and analysis.

Abiant has combined proprietary advances
in each of these areas to deliver practical
results that can be used for decision-making:

Image Data Processing and Analysis

We have optimized our data analysis methods for reliability and interpretability for drug
development decisions.  We have developed a rigorous, quality controlled process that
combines technical advances with the standardization necessary for industrial application.
Quality control measures are used at each processing step.  We perform both univariate
analyses and advanced multivariate analyses that can resolve discrete component patterns
within the image signal.

We have also exclusively licensed technology developed by researchers at New York University.
One aspect of this technology enables automated, rater-independent Region of Interest analysis
to reliably measure changes in a wide spectrum of brains with highly varying degrees of atrophy.
This is critical when measuring changes in patients with neurodegenerative disorders such as
Alzheimer's Disease.  The technology has been successful in identifying the earliest changes in
hippocampal glucose metabolism years before cognitive impairment symptoms occur
(Mosconi L et al).  Another aspect of the technology allows highly sensitive, rater-independent
measurement of small changes in volumes as measured with MRI or CT.  This has been
applied to measure atrophy progression in patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment, and has
application in oncology and inflammation. (Rusinek et al).

By providing a centralized location at which all data is processed, Abiant can also ensure
consistency between sites and a uniform analysis.
Image Data Application Software

Abiant’s NeuroImage software, focused on the CNS, provides an interactive framework for
viewing and exploring data. It displays image data in several different perspectives and in a
variety of views, with selectable insets for tables of effect, legend, demographics, correlations,
conditions under which data was collected, and other values.
Image Data Collection

Abiant's data and other published literature have shown that the cognitive
and motor activity engaged in by a subject can materially influence and confound
image data. To address this, Abiant uses a proprietary process to ensure a
consistent state from scan to scan.  In addition, control task performance,
response time, and mood are automatically measured and used for quality control.
