Dawn Matthews, President and Chief Executive Officer
Dawn C. Matthews, President and CEO, served as CEO of MIICRO, Inc., a medical imaging
technology company, from 2000-2005. During that time, technology was substantially advanced,
new products introduced, and new customer relationships formed. She was previously Director of
Business Development for Motorola BioChip Systems, an entrepreneurial venture in which she led
business development, marketing, and customer support. Earlier, she was a founder of Aksys,
Ltd., a company focused on the development of a novel system for home kidney dialysis. There
she was Vice President of Business Development, Director of Marketing and Systems
Engineering, and Acting CFO during multiple private financings and the company’s Initial Public
Offering. Previously, she was a Senior Principal Engineer at Baxter Healthcare. Ms. Matthews
holds a B.S.E.E. from the University of Notre Dame, a M.S.E.E. from the University of Michigan, and
an M.B.A. from Northwestern University.
Terry Brown, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Terry Brown, Executive Vice President and COO, has more than 27 years of PET imaging
experience with an emphasis in the commercial application of PET imaging for drug development.
Mr. Brown was a founder of MIICRO, Inc., and served as head of Operations and Executive Vice
President. He has led the design and execution of numerous PET imaging studies across a
diverse array of compounds, established an international network of PET and clinical site
resources, and created strong customer relationships. Previously, he was Research Project
Manager, Manager of Nuclear Medicine and Radiology Systems, and Chief Technologist at the
University of Chicago Hospitals. He has served as a Technical Consultant for Siemens. Mr. Brown
earned his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and has been certified as a Nuclear Medicine
Technologist.

Cliff Turner, Director of Business Development
Cliff Turner has over 20 years of experience in Sales and Business Development in the Life
Science sector. He has worked extensively with companies focusing on drug discovery through full-
scale pharmaceutical production, as well as genomics, pharmacogenomics, and molecular
diagnostics. Cliff is one of the founding members of Catalyzing Collaboration, an Illinois-based
organization that has created interaction opportunities for academia and industry in the life
sciences through focused symposia. He has served as President of NextGen Sciences Inc, a
provider of products for protein research. In addition, he was the Director of Sales and Market
Development at Nanosphere, Inc., and has held roles of increasing responsibility in companies
such as Affymetrix, Inc., Life Technologies, Inc (now a division of Invitrogen), and Genzyme
Corporation. He received his Bachelors degree in Biology from University of Illinois
Urbana-Champaign, and M.S. degree in Immunology and Microbial Genetics from Northern Illinois
University.
